Teach Only Love, Even When You Are Being Crucified

“The message of the crucifixion is very simple and perfectly clear”:

“Teach only love, for that is what you are.”  (ACIM.CE.T.6.I.20:1-2)

The quote from above in the CE Edition of A Course In Miracles is followed by:

“If you interpret it {crucifixion} in any other way, you are using it as a weapon for assault rather than as the call to peace for which it was intended. The Apostles often misunderstood it, and always for the same reason that makes anyone misunderstand anything. Their own imperfect love made them vulnerable to projection, and out of their own fear, they spoke of the wrath of God as His retaliatory weapon. They also could not speak of the crucifixion entirely without anger, because their own sense of guilty had made them angry.” (ACIM.CE.T.20:3-6)

This comes directly out of the section of A Course In Miracles, which I believe to be a revelation from Jeshua (Jesus) to us in the modern day, to evolved minds that would now understand his teachings and messages which were often distorted and misunderstood for the very reasons mentioned in the above quote. Fear, anger, guilt, and projection.

Today is Good Friday in Christendom. Having been one who faithfully venerated the “weapon for assault”, the cross, every Good Friday, stopping to kiss it during the Liturgy in my Roman Catholic parishes I attended in my twenties and as a teenager, I focused on the solemn occasion of Jeshua’s death crucifixion and what I was taught that it meant. It was a “loving sacrifice” that he endured for us terrible sinners, who were lost without the ransom he paid through his suffering. For many Christians, the crucifixion was the Atonement, or the act of reconciling with God.

This is upside-down thinking, says Jeshua in ACIM. In my current understanding and belief, I tend to believe Jeshua (who I think authored and transmitted A Course in Miracles – you certainly don’t have to believe that to be reading this) when he says that the road to crucifixion was the “last useless journey” and that we should not “cling to the old rugged cross”, for our Atonement was set in action for us not by the act of being slaughtered like an innocent lamb, but through the Resurrection from the tomb where his earthly body was laid, where he proved that Love is stronger than fear of the egoic thought system.

People were afraid of Jeshua’s message would mean for their lives. That they would have to love, even in the face of being killed and maimed. The message Jeshua tries to get across to us in works such as A Course In Miracles and The Way of Mastery, is that there is no death and that we cannot be attacked, if we simply shift into the True Perception or Christ Vision that shows us only love, where we teach only love.

We crucify Jeshua over and over and do the same to ourselves when we are fearful and project our guilt that we carry with us. The message he, as a wisdom teacher, wanted us to realize, is that we are innocent, as was he. Innocent and strong. Even when we are being attacked. And when we know this, we can be defenseless, and in the midst of pain and even torture, we can feel love for our persecutors or those who “seem” to be attacking us. We can’t really be attacked or crucified, although many of you would argue from life experiences that this statement simply isn’t true. Pain feels too real. And it hurts.

Can you look into the eyes of another, who may be driving a nail through your wrist, with the eyes of love. Jeshua (Jesus) did. And that is what we must do. To RISE above the world and ego’s thinking that we are victims who have every right to be angry and afraid, and to be resurrected before the body dies and is laid aside. This means we have to have a major shift in our thinking. It is possible. We need but allow it to happen in our minds. By choosing only love in all instances, especially when it feels like we are being crucified. Especially then.

“Teach only love, for that is what you are.”

That may seem impossible, but it is something we should strive to attain and do. And we can. When we awaken to the truth of our being, that we are the Christ as is everyone else in this world, that we are all one and united, that nothing, not even our perceptions based on fear can separate us from one another.

So, I urge you to take a step back, this Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday and look through the Higher Mind in you, where you know that, you too are forever innocent, that you, like me, may merely make mistakes that can be corrected, and that we have nothing to feel guilty about. When we do atone, or make right (undo) our perceptions of fear, transforming them into love, we too will be resurrected from the tomb of the ego thought system of death and guilt.

Jeshua may not have died to save us from our so called “sins”, but he did die, loving humanity and every soul that the Divine ever created. Most of all, he showed us a “better way”. So, it’s time that we come down off the cross, stop crucifying ourselves and even more, gently help our fellow brothers and sisters down from theirs by forgiving them of what they really never did wrong at all.

Shadow Figures: Seeing the Past in the Present/Taking Back Projections

Do you ever catch yourself responding to someone in your life in a way that you responded to someone from your past that you feel and think hurt you or deprived you of love and appreciation in some way? We all do, right? Why is that?

We tend to bury our pain and feelings of rejection experienced in the past or in childhood (this tends to receive a lot of flack). Then, we make people in the present pay for those buried emotions and even the grievances that form as a result of them. Shadow figures are talked about in Chapter 13 of A Course in Miracles, but not so openly in Course “Circles” or outside of psychological contexts. But this topic should be a more prominent source of discussion in my opinion.

I know that, in hindsight, I have seen myself being punitive or reactive towards people in my life in the present in situations where I really am responding to someone or something that person from the past said or did that I interpreted as harmful or hurtful. Again, we do this sort of thing all the time and are mostly unconscious of this behavior.

We may respond to our spouse or partner in a reactive way when we are really “telling off” a past lover, friend, or even parent. We need to become more conscious of when and how we project these images onto people in our life now. Much could be said about this topic, for it is a common problem. But really, how do we avoid making our friends, acquaintances, and loved ones “pay” for what we perceived as hurts or having been wronged in some way in the past?

We need to see everyone as guiltless. And we need to release the past. That includes recognizing grievances and pain we have stored in our minds and bodies. If we see everyone as innocent and as a Son or Daughter of the Divine, we see past “errors” or “attacks” we perceived had the ability to hurt us in some way. What we need to do is adopt a way of seeing and believing that we are invulnerable and cannot be hurt, not by people or occurrences from the past, not now, and not in the future either. The solution is simple, but seems often an insurmountable feat to try to accomplish.

We need to forgive. Everything. Always. That starts with recognition of how we keep allow ourselves to be imprisoned by people from our past, and see just how much we let that carry over into the present. It certainly isn’t going to be easy. And it doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes we are going to blow up on someone we love, here and now, and it may take doing that to realize we are still chained to the past. Love and forgiveness. Practice it. Do it. Keep doing it. Free yourself and others. Do it now. And ask the honest questions before you feel like saying something volatile. Such as, what am I really feeling and am I extending love or acting out of fear of reliving the past in some way? Recognize. Release. Realize. Let go. Surrender to the now. And extend love consistently. You can’t go wrong. And finally, take back your projections you have superimposed onto people in the present, whether you know them well, or just have a casual encounter with them on the street or at work. It’s worth it to become more aware of how we respond to others. It is just one key to unlock the door to contentment and happiness as well as peace and acceptance too.

A BURNING LOVE THAT IS BURIED

Deep beneath the surface of the conscious mind, lies buried, a burning love for the Divine’s embrace and the memory of His (& Hers) Love for us. I won’t get into the various theories about levels of the mind, but we need to penetrate that deep layer in our subconscious, which is at the collective level, beneath even, the archetypes (ruling idea energies identified by Swiss Psychiatrist Carl Jung) that we share in common. That level is the level of miracle-mindedness as is emphasized in the Complete and Annotated Edition of A Course in Miracles, early on.

Why would the deepest layer of the mind contain the real ‘gold’ of wholeness, oneness, and the memory of communion and union with the Divine? Because, we dissociated, or blocked out the memory of perfect oneness and union with Perfect, Infinite Love. Long ago, when we made the decision that if we could not receive special favor from the Father/Mother Source and be elevated above our fellow Sons and Daughters of our Supernal Parents, that we would reject the purity and holiness of non-discriminating love, we ‘rejected’ our Creator and tried to project outward into nothingness, a world where we thought we could try to be our own father. This is when the ego was created. Then through more projection and the illusion of fracturing what we had known as ‘reality’, a big bang of consciousness occurred. And thence started into motion, the making of worlds, not just our own. We thought we had accomplished a great feat by causing a rift in our minds, a split where we could ‘make’ (not create, for true creation only takes place in Heaven) a new reality. But we immediately felt guilt over trying to separate from the Divine out of a fear of being punished for this supposed crime of trying to become our own god. This guilt is what fueled the dissociation, where we tried to forget our true nature and the blissful reality of being in communion with the Divine.

That is just a brief description of what the act of separation (which never really happened) looked like and how we came to bury our memory of both our burning love for God and His for us. Out of His Love for us, at the moment when the ‘big bang’ occurred and the making of an alternate reality was set in motion, He had a plan, which A Course In Miracles calls the Atonement, or the correction process. It was then that He planted the memory of Him, His Love, and our oneness with Him in our minds. That memory, that Voice, that Advocate, that Comforter was the Holy Spirit, the answer to the dissociation and forgetting due to the massive block created by guilt in our split minds.

God never left us, and we in truth never left God. We just blocked out His memory in our minds. And this led to massive suffering and denial on our part. But still we yearned for a father figure to be in union with and to serve. We chose the ‘ego’ as our father, but the ego could never fill the space in our minds and hearts reserved only for the Divine Father. And so we search, we yearn, we strive, we go on the defensive, and we attack ourselves and others, trying to find what we think we lost. Our true Treasure. We compete out of hate for others, for what we in our split minds, think only we are entitled to. That special favor from God, the thought that started the whole process of separation in motion.

Now we need miracles to correct the thought process that induced our massive denial of that intense and burning love we really long for (and fear) and that is the true motive behind all our actions, many times, however, masked by attack, blame, and hate. Why would we do this to ourselves? It’s a mystery. But it only took one ‘tiny tick of time’. And so we seem to be in exile, trying to journey back to the place we never left, our Home in Heaven. That journey can be sped up by accepting the Atonement, the correction for our misperceptions and errors, by practicing forgiveness, releasing guilt, and choosing love over fear.

Sometimes all we need to do, is to still our minds, pause, and take a step back to receive the guidance we need to change how we see things. If we took the time to go to peace, and to truly listen for God’s Voice (The Holy Spirit in our minds), we would begin to break through the barriers that stand in the way to the remembrance of that Primal Love which we buried in our subconscious, the very love that we are afraid of. It is time to knock down the walls and remove the masks to this precious gift.

CHRIST REALIZATION YOGA – DAY 46

DAY 46
God Presence is Pure, Radiant Love and it is through and in this Love in which I forgive myself, others, and all things that appear to happen in this projected earth exile dream movie, dissolving all karma, fear, mental affliction, and guilt.

The individual egoic-ahamkar mind would have me believe that I have a reason to feel guilty, ashamed and to in turn punish myself. This individual mind likes to condemn and projects the same idea onto God Presence. But this Divinity Source does not condemn and therefore does not in Reality, have a cause to forgive. Condemnation creates the need for forgiveness in the projected world I find myself in, because of the existence of illusions. All who engage in forgiveness break the shackles of illusions and duality’s delusion-hypnosis-spell, but those who do not forgive remain enchained to them. When I don’t forgive the illusions of the world, I am in prison.

Even though God Presence has no use for forgiveness, the Pure, Radiant Love of the Divine is the foundation of forgiveness. In the words of Jeshua (Jesus) “fear condemns and love forgives. Forgiveness thus undoes what fear has produced, returning the mind to the awareness of God.” On the basis of this forgiveness can be said to bring moksha-liberation in this life. It dissolves the karma attached to illusions.

For today’s chanting, three five-minute sittings are necessary to instill and integrate the idea to center on, in addition to several shorter moments of centering. In the longer sittings, close your eyes and scan the mind to find people whom you have yet to forgive, especially those you may not like. Mention each one by name, in this way:

“God Presence is Pure, Radiant Love and it is through and in this Love in which I forgive you, {name}.”

The purpose of this first aspect to today’s lesson is to enable you to forgive yourself. After you have applied the above statement to those you called to mind and mentioned by name, say:

“God Presence is Pure, Radiant Love and it is through and in this Love in which I forgive myself.”

The rest of the time spent sitting, or consciously resting with today’s idea, add similar statements:

“God Presence is Pure, Radiant Love and it is through and in this Love which I love myself. God Presence is the very Love that blesses and consecrates me.”

You may also say:

“Neurotic guilt cannot consume me, because I am a beloved Son/Daughter of God.”
“Forgiveness has already been accomplished.”
“Fear cannot survive in a mind that is a Pure Expression of God Life.”
“I have no need to verbally, physically, or mentally assault anyone or anything because Love has forgiven me.”
End your sitting by saying today’s main mantra.

If you find yourself still harboring hostile thoughts towards anyone, conclude by saying:

“God Presence is Pure, Radiant Love and it is through and in this Love in which I forgive you.”

Love is the only real answer to any problem stemming from unforgiveness because only love is real. I must forgive because I freely and willfully want to share forgiveness. It cannot be forced upon me. However, the Eternal Love of God Presence can inspire me to give this gift to all and to the world itself. Fear based forgiveness comes from negative vibratory energy. Love based forgiveness comes from a much higher calibration and has a much larger ripple effect on the entire Son/Daughtership of God. Once I forgive myself, real, truly, and honestly, I can do the blessed work of extending forgiveness to all. My goal is to totally release all grievances I am holding onto, that darken my mind and cloud True Seeing and Being.

CHRIST REALIZATION YOGA – DAY 43

DAY 43
I am an extension of the Primal Cause, God Presence, Divine Mind, Immortal Brahman Spirit, the Indestructible Father-Mother Source. I am a creation of this Loving Source and I see only in alignment with this Presence and Mind.

Today, I come to the important Divine Realization that perception is not a quality of Divine God Presence. This Source exists in relation to Gnosis-Knowing-Knowledge. God Presence created the Cosmic Vibratory Memory of His/Her Self, the Holy Spirit to act as a neutral party, an arbitrator between perception and Gnosis-Knowledge. The Holy Spirit Mother Kundalini was placed in my mind at the very moment in time, I chose to separate from God Presence through separation-rebellion. This was the Atonement, the agent of undoing the ego-ahamkar thought system from which perception stems. The Atonement or conscious realization of At-One-Ment with God Presence, God Mind only seemed to happen because in reality, I never separated from the One Singular God Source.

My phone line to God through the medium of the Holy Spirit Mother Kundalini helps me transform my perceptions and brings me Gnosis-Knowledge, which brings True Sight, Christed Sight. I am the Christ. I am the Atman. I am the Awakened One. Gnosis-Knowledge is what I want to sustain me, to be in full Realization of my Divine Inborn Nature and Potential.

Though perception is not a function of God Presence, God Mind and is not real, in the plan for my moksha and kaivalya liberation, the dissolution of what never existed in truth, perception does have a purpose. Perception can be used for restoring my wholeness to my awareness. Though perception has no meaning, the Cosmic Vibratory Holy Spirit, the memory of God in my mind assigns it a value and meaning in close association to Divine Source’s. Radical Right Healed Perception is the way I as a Son or Daughter of God forgives my brother and sister, and thereby myself as well.

The reason I see only in alignment with Divine Presence is because I am One in Totality with my Source and am in alignment through the Christ Mind. Everything I do and think, I do so with and in the Mind of Divine Presence. Christ Vision is real, and it is actively real in me to the extent that vision and the Holy Spirit work together. Through this relationship I cannot see differently from Divine Mind Presence.

I commit to contemplating and centering on the mantra for today on three separate occasions for a duration of five-minutes, one early and one later in the day and the other when I am most receptive to hearing the Holy Spirit’s Voice. With eyes open I will scan my environment for a short period of time, applying the central idea for this day to what I seem to see. I might say:

“I am an extension of the Primal Cause, God Presence, Divine Mind, Immortal Brahman Spirit, the Indestructible Father-Mother Source. I am a creation of this Loving Source and I see this computer {or whatever object it is you are looking at} at One with Him/Her.”

This part of the contemplation should be short and done indiscriminately, neither deliberately including or excluding anything from consideration. I will apply this throughout the day to situations and events that may occur. For the second and longer phase, I will this time close my eyes, reciting today’s mantra again allowing relevant thought fluctuations to flow in to the mind in a personalized manner. For example:

“I see through the eyes of forgiveness. I see the world as blessed. The world can show me myself. I see my own thoughts, which are likened to God’s.”

I put aside all unconscious meanings that I have assigned to everything I perceive. I will step back and let the Holy Spirit show me Love and only Love. God is True Love. There is no seeing apart from this Love.
